During Sunday’s game, Mike Trout got hit by a pitch.
It’s now been announced that he will not return.

Trout is in the middle of his 16th year as an MLB player (all with the Angels).
He came into the day batting .207 with two home runs, three RBI’s, seven runs and two stolen bases.
At one point, Trout was the best player in all of baseball (and is a future Hall of Famer).

Despite Trout’s dominance, the Angels last made the MLB playoffs in 2014.
They are currently 4-5 in their first nine games of the new season.
After the Mariners, the Angels will remain at home to host the Atlanta Braves on Monday.
