UPDATE: New Orleans Pelicans Make Dejounte Murray Announcement Before Clippers Game

On Wednesday night, the New Orleans Pelicans will host the LA Clippers.

The Pelicans are coming off a 129-111 victory over the Dallas Mavericks (at home).

Dejounte Murray did not play in the game.

UPDATE: Dejounte Murray has been upgraded to available (h/t Underdog NBA).

For Wednesday’s game, Murray has been listed as questionable on the injury report.

Law Murray of The Athletic wrote (on Tuesday): “Pelicans reportedly that Bryce McGowens (toe fracture) is out for tomorrow vs Clippers.

Dejounte Murray (illness) is questionable Zion Williamson will play after missing March 1 at LA”

Murray is currently averaging 19.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.8 steals per contest while shooting 54.7% from the field and 35.1% from three-point range in eight games.

He is in his second season playing for the Pelicans (after missing most of last year).

The Pelicans enter play as the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 23-46 record in 69 games.

They have won six out of their last ten games (and are 14-21 at home).

Right now, the Pelicans are 10.0 games back of the Portland Trail Blazers for the final play-in tournament spot.

Murray has also spent time with the San Antonio Spurs and Atlanta Hawks over ten seasons in the league.

He made the 2022 NBA All-Star Game with the Spurs.

In his most recent game (on March 13), Murray put up 35 points.

The Clippers are the eighth seed with a 34-34 record in 68 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak (but have won seven out of their last ten).
