On Tuesday’s episode of Bussin’ With The Boys, the conversation drifted away from football entirely. Kittle was asked about last summer’s Tight End University weekend in Nashville — specifically, the moment Taylor Swift walked out on stage and performed in front of a room full of NFL tight ends.

When Travis Kelce told Kittle that Swift would be coming to Tight End University last summer, the reaction was straightforward. Kittle laid out the schedule, told Kelce she was welcome at any of the events, and did not think much more of it. Then she showed up to everything.
The performance itself, though, required a small push from an unlikely source. Kittle’s mom and his wife Claire’s mom were the ones who nudged Swift toward taking the mic. “Kind of bullied her into doing it,” Kittle said on the podcast, before catching himself. “No one bullies Taylor Swift — I’m kidding.”
Swift performed “Shake It Off” at the Tight Ends & Friends concert at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, with Luke Combs also on the bill that night. Kittle described the sequence of events as almost surreal. Combs performing his set, and then two artists later, Swift walking out and doing exactly that.
“I’ve never actually heard a venue be that loud before,” Kittle said. “She owned the stage. She knew exactly what she was doing. She’s a pro. She’s a true outlier.”
Swift has spent enough time around NFL events that her presence alone no longer raises eyebrows. But the performance was something different. Kittle said it was incredible, and left it at that.
What Kittle Said About TEU’s Next Chapter

With another Tight End University weekend approaching this summer, Kittle is already working the phones on the lineup. He mentioned making cold calls to around 20 artists in the coming weeks, though he was careful not to give anything away when asked about Swift’s potential return.
“I cannot confirm or deny,” he said.
Kelce recently signed a new deal to return to Kansas City, which means his fiancée will remain a fixture in NFL circles for at least another season. Whether that extends to another TEU appearance is anyone’s guess.
