Taylor Swift Career News Drops After Date Night With Travis Kelce

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his fiancée, Taylor Swift, helped celebrate the “biggest night in Hollywood” following the 98th annual Academy Awards.

While Swift and Kelce didn’t attend the 2026 Oscars ceremony, they hit two of the most exclusive after-parties. Save for two photos, the famous couple managed to keep an ultra-low profile.

During an interview with BBC 2 Radio in October, Swift spoke about her ability to fly under the radar when looking to avoid the spotlight.

When host Scott Mills asked what her best quality as a spy would be, “I think the entering and exiting building without being seen,” she answered. “Just put me in a garbage can, roll me, I don’t care. Honestly, I can fit in like a purse.

“Sometimes I just can’t deal with it [the paparazzi and attention] and in those times, I won’t deal with it. I’m just digging tunnels under every building I go into, airlifting in through the skylight.”

While the pop star and Kelce enjoy their time away from cameras, Swift received some historic news about her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”

One day after the 14-time Grammy winner and Kelce made a rare joint appearance at the Oscar after-parties, Rolling Stone credited Swift for helping break a 43-year sales record.

With a boost from “The Life of a Showgirl,” U.S. vinyl sales “surpassed $1 billion in revenue for the first time since 1983,” Rolling Stone reported. Swift’s 12th studio album “accounts for 1.6 million vinyl units sold last year, the highest of any release by over 1.2 million units…

“According to the RIAA’s year-end report released Wednesday, vinyl sales, in units, increased from 43.4 million in 2024 to 46.8 million in 2025. The 7.9 percent increase accompanies a 9.3 percent revenue increase from $954.4 million to $1,042.9 billion. Besides Swift, the year’s top vinyl sellers were Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, the Weeknd, and Tyler, the Creator.

“As vinyl numbers rose, CD sales and revenue saw a decrease of 11.6 percent and 7.8 percent, respectively. Elsewhere, paid streaming subscriptions are up 6.5 percent from 100 million accounts in 2024 to 106.5 million accounts in 2025 for a revenue increase of 6.8 percent, jumping from $5,506.5 billion to $5,881.1 billion.”

Taylor Swift Is Releasing a Limited-Edition Vinyl Album in April

Over the past few months, Swift released special edition vinyls for “The Fate of Ophelia” and “Opalite,” both of which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The 14-time Grammy winner is also releasing a 7-inch vinyl for her latest single, “Elizabeth Taylor,” for Record Store Day on April 18.

Swift revealed during an interview with Z100’s Elvis Duran Show, “There’s a song called ‘Elizabeth Taylor,’ which is sort of my emotions and my issues with fame through the lens of cosplaying the life of Elizabeth Taylor, so you kind of meld the two experiences together.”
