NHL Trades: Bruins Land Canucks Forward in Last-Minute Deal

The Boston Bruins had a quiet 2026 NHL trade deadline, which was surprising when noting that they had two big roster needs in a top-six winger and a right-shot defenseman. However, the Bruins elected not to address those major needs.

While this is the case, the Bruins have added to their forward depth by bringing in a former first-round pick. According to TSN’s Pierre LeBrun, the Bruins have acquired forward Lukas Reichel from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a sixth-round pick.

It was no secret that Reichel struggled to find his fit with the Canucks after being acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks earlier this season. Now, he will get the chance of another fresh start with this trade to Boston.
