The second round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard gets underway Friday morning at Bay Hill Club & Lodge, with players battling to position themselves above the cut line and in contention heading into the weekend.
Several notable names will be worth watching throughout the day. First-round leader Daniel Berger tees off late in the morning as he looks to maintain momentum after opening the tournament at 9-under-par. Meanwhile, players near the top of the leaderboard such as Collin Morikawa (-6), Ludvig à berg (-6), Jhonattan Vegas (-5), and Cameron Young (-5) will also be in action during the afternoon wave as they attempt to climb into position for the weekend.
“I think the biggest thing for me is just getting in a bit of a rhythm,” Berger said. “When you come back [from injury], you are just kind of getting back into the flow of things and getting into your routine.
“I have really played not that poorly, I just haven’t had the results. You just kind of keep doing the same things and good things will come, so that’s kind of where I feel like I am at.”
Elsewhere, fan favorites including Rory McIlroy (T33), Jordan Spieth (T33), Scottie Scheffler (T18), and Justin Thomas (T70) are among the players hoping to make a move.
