Hillary Clinton’s Spokesman Responds to Nancy Mace, “You Made Something Up, I Corrected You”

Rep. Nancy Mace

U.S. Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) is one of the Republicans on the House Oversight Committee who traveled to New York for the deposition of former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton regarding the Epstein files.

After Mace’s colleague Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) took a photo inside the deposition room of Clinton and sent it to MAGA influencer Benny Johnson who then distributed it on social media (with his logo watermark), Mace claimed on social media that Clinton had a “meltdown.”

Mace wrote: “Hillary was unhinged and combative when we pressed her about Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Not exactly the reaction of someone who ‘barely knew them.’”

Mace also claimed that Clinton: “became unglued, screaming, let me be abundantly clear: Hillary Clinton shamefully used the terrorist attack of 9/11 as a scapegoat to cover for her and her family’s close relationship with Howard Lutnick, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell.”

Clinton’s spokesperson Nick Merrill (who worked with Clinton when she was at the State Department) told CNN that Mace wasn’t telling the truth when she characterized Clinton’s behavior.

Mace said: “If Hillary Clinton’s spokesperson is scared about my line of questioning from yesterday and how unglued Hillary became (screaming at me); just wait until I get in front of Bill.”

Merrill replied to Mace: “You made something up. I corrected you. You can become unglued all you want today, just tell the truth.”

Note: Ranking Member Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) who was in the same deposition room, reported: “To say that Hillary Clinton was screaming is beyond mischaracterization. What happened yesterday was a disgrace. To be asking about ufos, pizza gate, conspiracy theories. You yourself will see the types of questions she was asked.”
