Beyond her advocacy work, Alexa has spoken publicly about the challenges of being a NASCAR wife. On an episode of Haley Dillon’s YouTube show, she talked about the importance of supporting Tyler through difficult race weekends. “Every weekend when it’s hard, when they’re not having the outcome they want out of their life, you have to … I always wanted to be there to pick him up, encourage him, and be that. You want to be that for your family, as a mother, as a wife,” she said.

During her interview with Haley Dillon, Alexa said about losing her father while celebrating her marriage and her husband’s career, “…sometimes it does not make sense. You still have to see the good in all of the good and the bad, and I think as long as you maintain a relationship with God and turn to him, you know, it makes the good and the bad easier. Because even when so many good things are coming at you, it’s overwhelming and it’s hard to remember in those moments that okay, this is from God and this is what I’ve prayed for for years.”

In December 2024, reflecting on the ceremony, Alexa Reddick wrote on Instagram, “This day in 2024✨
We did a Lego cake for Beau instead of a grooms cake, our Grandpa’s signed our license, Tyler wound up in the catering truck with the lobsters, the boys ate the top tier after the after party, & I finally married my person!”

In May 2025, Reddick surprised Alexa by putting her name on his No. 45 car for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway ahead of Mother’s Day. He replaced his own name on the name rail with “Alexa” flanked by two heart symbols on a diamond-look Jordan Brand paint scheme. “Alexa has always shown nothing but unwavering support for our family. With Mother’s Day approaching we wanted to surprise her with a little something for Texas!” Reddick wrote on Instagram, according to the Nashville Tennessean.

The car reveal was a surprise for Alexa, who was at the 23XI Racing shop when it was unveiled. “A month or two ago (they) came to me and said they were going to do this scheme and what did I think about having her name on the car, would she be comfortable with that,” Reddick told RACER. “Truthfully, I didn’t know, but of course I still said, ‘That would be great,’” according to 23XI Racing.

On their first anniversary in July 2025, Tyler Reddick wrote on Instagram, “Happy one year anniversary my love. Every day with you is a blessing. ❤️

Tyler and Alexa Reddick’s eldest son, Beau Reddick, was born on January 18, 2020.. When the couple was expecting, Alexa wanted to name the baby Ryker, while Tyler had cycled through Archer and George (his middle name) before landing on Beau.

Rather than debate endlessly, Alexa issued an ultimatum: win the 2019 Xfinity Series championship and pick the name. “I don’t know what came over me,” she told NBC Sports in 2019. “I guess pregnancy-brain is a real thing, and one day I was like, ‘Listen, you win this championship, you can name him whatever you want, but I don’t want you calling him anything until you are in victory lane holding up that championship trophy in Miami,’” according to NBC Sports.

Tyler Reddick won his second consecutive Xfinity title that year and shouted “Baby Beau!” in victory lane. “Maybe I shouldn’t have been wanting him to win so bad because I really wanted to win this bet,” Alexa told NBC Sports, laughing. “We’re both really competitive. I shook on it. I like the name Beau. It just wasn’t my first choice,” according to NBC Sports.

5. Tyler & Alexa Reddick’s Youngest Son, Rookie, Survived a Frightening Health Scare as a Baby

The family’s second son, Rookie George Reddick, was born on May 25, 2025, at 2:20 a.m. ET. Tyler announced the birth on social media: “The household has now become a family of four, and we are so blessed,” according to Sports Illustrated. The name “Rookie” was a nod to NASCAR’s first-year drivers, and “George” is Tyler’s own middle name. Tyler Reddick raced in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway later that same day.

Months later, the family faced a terrifying ordeal. In late September 2025, after weeks of Alexa Reddick insisting to pediatricians that something was wrong with Rookie, she took him to Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, she explained on social media.

Alexa posted on Instagram: “After a run around for months with the pediatrician’s office, I knew what was going on was something bigger. Always trust your mom gut. Our sweet Rookie was showing signs of heart failure that were being missed,” according to FOX Sports.

Doctors discovered a tumor on his right kidney that was compressing his renal artery and vein. Alexa updated fans that the tumor was “‘choking’ the renal vein and renal artery. Telling the heart ‘hey I’m not getting enough blood … pump harder.’ Causing the enlarged heart,” according to ESPN.

Rookie Reddick underwent open surgery in mid-October 2025 to remove his right kidney. Alexa shared on Instagram afterward: “Rookie came back one kidney lighter. He is recovering and still coming out of anesthesia. The surgery went well, and his team is confident he will not need treatment after.”

By November, Tyler reported at Phoenix Raceway that Rookie was home and doing well. “For the most part, he’s a lot healthier, which is good,” Reddick said. “Still have some things to sort out … But for the most part, it looks promising.” He added that Rookie had struggled to sleep at home after his extended hospital stay because “our room is too quiet” compared to the constant noise of the hospital, according to NBC Sports.

On SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Tyler praised his wife and baby son directly: “He handled it like a champ. My wife handled it like a super mom, honestly.

During Rookie’s health crisis, 23XI Racing rallied behind the family.

“We’ve tried to do everything we could as a company to tap into all the resources that we possibly can, to get him second, third opinions, all the things, get him in contact with specialists,” Denny Hamlin said at the Charlotte Roval, according to ESPN.
