Shooting in Tenderloin is San Francisco’s third homicide in a week

A man was fatally shot Wednesday in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, police said.

The shooting was reported around 8:55 a.m. Feb. 11 on the 100 block of Turk Street. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene; his identity was not released.

A 37-year-old Oakland man was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of murder and a weapons charge, police said.


It was San Francisco’s third homicide in less than a week, following a stabbing Feb. 6 in the Mission District and a shooting Feb. 9 on Rincon Hill.
