Brad Keselowski’s rise in NASCAR began in his family’s Michigan race shop. Born February 12, 1984, in Rochester Hills, he is the youngest of five children of Kay and Bob Keselowski. Brad handled simple tasks at the shop as a teen, progressing to more technical roles.
This upbringing shaped his path to a NASCAR Cup Series championship and co-ownership of RFK Racing. Family remains central to his identity, from the legacy he inherited to the one he is building with his wife and children.
Racing Is Part of His Family History
Keselowski comes from a long line of racers. His grandfather competed on two wheels before moving into stock cars. His father, Bob Keselowski, built his own name in the sport by winning the 1989 ARCA championship and competing in NASCAR’s Truck Series.
Brad’s older brother, Brian, also pursued a career in racing. The family has Polish roots, which Brad has acknowledged over the years.
Growing up, Brad spent much of his time at the race shop. He learned the mechanics of the sport early and began racing stock cars in 2000.
The Family Business Closed During Financial Struggles
In 2006, the Keselowski race team shut down after losing sponsorship. The closure was difficult for the entire family and left a lasting impression on Brad.
Reflecting on that time, he said, “To think that I was a part of bankrupting my family to try to pursue your own dream is a moment where you feel so selfish and incredibly low as a human being, you don’t even know how you’re going to recover.”
His mother, Kay, made it clear she did not blame him. “It wasn’t his fault… He was there to try to help us as much as us helping him. He pulled us out of bankruptcy all by himself… He bailed us out; otherwise, we would have lost probably our home and everything else that was involved in that.”
The experience became part of his personal story as he advanced in NASCAR.
Paige White Also Grew Up Around Racing
Paige White, now Keselowski, was born April 6, 1988, in North Carolina. Her father raced stock cars, so she knew racing life from a young age.
She graduated from East Carolina University in 2010 with a degree in psychology and a pre-med minor.
Paige helps with the Checkered Flag Foundation, supporting veterans, first responders, and their families through event planning and outreach.
Their Relationship Began Long Before Marriage
Brad and Paige started dating in 2004. They remained together for more than a decade before getting married in 2017.
Both grew up around racing, which brought them together. Over time, their relationship developed alongside Brad’s rise through NASCAR’s national ranks.
Although Brad’s career keeps him in the public eye, the couple has chosen to keep many details of their private life out of the spotlight.
Brad Keselowski And Paige Are Parents to Four Children
Brad and Paige are raising four children. Their first daughter, Scarlett, was born in 2015, followed by Autumn in 2019.
In 2023, they welcomed their first son, Maize, and in 2025, they welcomed their second son, Sterling. Brad balances racing and parenting during the NASCAR season.
Recently, Brad broke his femur in a ski accident, underwent surgery and rehab, and was cleared to race in the Daytona 500.
His recovery is another chapter in a life shaped by resilience, family support, and persistence. From working in his father’s garage to leading his family, Keselowski’s journey reflects strong family ties.
