Woman fatally shot during fight on Red Line platform in Greater Grand Crossing

A woman was shot and killed during an argument Tuesday night on a CTA Red Line platform in Grand Crossing.

The woman was on the station platform, 15 W. 69th St., about 9:45 p.m. when she was fighting with another woman who pulled out a gun and fired shots, striking the victim in the neck, Chicago police said.

The unidenfitied victim, who police said was in her 20s or 30s, was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

No arrests were reported.

Area 1 detectives are investigating.
