Los Angeles mountain ranges placed under a wind advisory until Thursday morning

Western Santa Monica Mountains Recreational area, Eastern Santa Monica Mountains Recreational area and Santa Susana Mountains are included in a wind advisory released by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 12:27 a.m. The advisory is valid from 10 p.m. until Thursday, Mar. 13 at 6 a.m.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA said, “Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
