A Larimer County deputy shot a suspect in northeast Fort Collins on Monday, according to the sheriff’s office.
The shooting happened in the 1400 block of East Stuart Street, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said on X at 2:19 p.m. Monday. The suspect is in custody and there is no ongoing threat to the community, the agency said.
Sheriff’s officials did not say what happened before the shooting or the status of the person who was shot and could not immediately be reached for comment.
The shooting will be investigated by the Eighth Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team.
