They tied the knot in 2005 and separated in 2015 before finalizing their divorce in 2018. Despite their divorce, they stayed close, having three children together. After a 2025 paintball outing for their son’s birthday, rumors swirled around the exes and suggested Affleck would love a second chance with Garner.</p>
<p id=”par-3_37″>In March 2025, an insider told <a href=”https://pagesix.com/2025/03/04/celebrity-news/ben-affleck-would-love-another-chance-with-ex-jennifer-garner-if-timing-is-right/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Page Six</a> that Affleck “would love another chance” with Garner. However, he knows it’s likely impossible and doesn’t want to come between Garner and her boyfriend of several years, John Miller.</p>
<p id=”par-4_42″>“Ben just got out of a marriage and finalized his divorce [from Jennifer Lopez]; he is really busy with work and is focused on this new chapter,” the source noted. “Plus, Ben respects Jen’s relationship with John [Miller] and would never come between them.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_51″>Amid the rumors, Affleck spent time with his best friend, Matt Damon. Damon and Affleck stepped out at the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival in Austin, Texas, on March 8, 2025. Affleck arrived at the festival for the world premiere of <em>The Accountant 2</em>. Damon co-produced the film with their company, Artists Equity.</p>
<p id=”par-6_18″>Affleck praised his friendship with Damon. While Affleck’s relationships came and went, his friendship with Damon remained. </p>

You know, I don’t have very many — none of us really have <em>very</em> many friends,” Affleck told reporters for <a href=”https://people.com/ben-affleck-matt-damon-the-accountant-2-sxsw-premiere-11691533″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a>. “You don’t need a million friends; you need a few good ones.
