Colorado weather: Snow and fog possible in Denver before weekend warm-up

Denver could see snow and fog Friday morning before skies clear and temperatures climb over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Meteorologists report a 30% chance of snow in Denver between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., with patchy fog before 10 a.m. Temps are expected to reach 35 during the day and fall to 22 overnight.

Between 2 and 5 inches of snow could accumulate in the foothills and mountains, while most of the Eastern Plains will see less than half an inch.

A daytime high of 48 is forecast Saturday before temperatures rise into the 60s on Sunday and heading into next week.
