As a child star, she was best known as Clarissa Darling on <em><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tv/”>Clarissa Explains It All</a>.</em> As an adult, she took on roles in <em>Sabrina the Teenage Witch</em>, <em>Melissa & Joey</em>, and <em>No Good Nick</em>. While Hart’s career has taken her across multiple series and networks, she thinks one show deserves another chapter. Interestingly enough, it’s not the series she misses working on the most.</p>

<p id=”par-2_81″>Melissa Joan Hart recently sat down for a chat with <a href=”https://www.tvinsider.com/1177215/melissa-joan-hart-interview-melissa-joey-clarissa/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TV insider</a> and opened up about her career. Hart has had an illustrious career that started when she was just a teen. Now, as a married mother of three, her projects look <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/melissa-joan-harts-favorite-90s-trend-and-which-of-her-characters-taught-her-how-to-be-a-nonconformist.html/”>different from those in the ’90s</a>. Still, she thinks her first major role deserves another chapter. Hart told the publication that she’s entirely onboard for a <em>Clarissa Explains It All</em> reboot, despite previous efforts to revive the series failing.</p>

<p id=”par-3_85″>While <em>Clarissa Explains It All</em> isn’t greenlit for a reboot at the moment, there was a fair bit of talk about the series returning several years ago. In fact, Hart was set to return when the network squashed the project. It was all for the best, though. In 2023, Hart opened up about the failed reboot to <a href=”https://www.insider.com/melissa-joan-hart-clarissa-explains-it-all-heart-health-2023-3″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Insider</a>. She admitted that while she signed on, she was never in love with the plot. It found her moving her children across the country following a divorce.</p>

At the very least, it’s not the character she played that tugged at her heartstrings the most. During her chat with TV Insider, Hart admitted she mourned the end of <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/melissa-joan-harts-favorite-role-might-surprise-you.html/”><em>Melissa & Joe</em>y</a><em> </em>more than she mourned the end of her other significant roles.</p>

<p id=”par-5_92″>Hart told the publication that in previous roles, she knew it was time to move on as the shows concluded. She felt the end coming even when the cast wasn’t given much notice. That wasn’t the case with <em>Melissa & Joey</em>. Hart said she felt the loss deeply. She insisted she knew she would never get to play Mel Burke again and that the character would just “go away.” Hart said she cried over the character a lot. She doesn’t think a reboot will happen. Still, she’s keeping her options open. </p>
