Motorcyclist dies Monday after collision with semi-truck in Millbrae

MILLBRAE — A man died Monday morning after his motorcycle collided with a semi-truck, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

Around 6 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a collision near the intersection of El Camino Real and Park Boulevard, authorities said.

Police found that the adult male motorcyclist was severely injured in the crash, and he was transported to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, authorities added. He died at the hospital.

The motorcyclist’s identity will be released by the San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner after identifying the man and notifying his next of kin.

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team is conducting an investigation into the collision. The adult male driver of the semi-truck remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation, authorities said.

El Camino Real northbound was closed between Park Boulevard and Santa Inez Avenue for four hours following the crash.
