Blue Bloods might be over, but the Reagan family dinners are living on, in a way. Every episode of the beloved CBS cop drama ended with the members of the Reagan family coming together for a Sunday family meal. Now, Blue Bloods fans can recreate that tradition for themselves at the very same table Tom Selleck and Bridget Moynahan sat at on the show.

‘Blue Bloods’ Spinoff, ‘Boston Blue,’ With Donnie Wahlberg Coming to CBS

Filming wrapped on the final episodes of Blue Bloods a little less than a year ago, and the series finale aired in December 2024. But rather than mothballing the Reagan dinner table, series star Donnie Wahlberg has brought it to the St. Charles, Illinois, outpost of Wahlburgers, the restaurant chain he owns with his brothers Mark and Paul Wahlberg.

“I’m here with a little piece of television history,” the Danny Reagan actor said in a video shared on Instagram. “That’s right, the Blue Bloods Reagan family dinner table is here for a limited time. That’s right. This is the actual table with the actual stuff, this is the actual glass that I drank out of on Blue Bloods and this is the actual chair that I sat in for 14 years of TV history making incredible memories with my castmates. And now, it’s your chance.”

For a limited time, fans can make a reservation at the restaurant and enjoy a dinner at the Reagan dinner table. You can even request to have a meal with Wahlberg himself. Funds raised through the dinners will support the NYPD Detectives Endowment Association’s Women’s and Children’s Fund and Northwestern Medicine Cancer Center Delnor.

“Let’s make some memories, and a little history of our own, for two great causes,” Wahlberg wrote in his post. “Make your reservations now, at the link in my bio! See you there!”

Donnie Wahlberg reflected on filming the ‘Blue Bloods’ dinner scenes

The family dinner scenes were an essential part of each Blue Bloods episode, but filming them wasn’t always easy. During a PaleyFest panel discussion (via <a href=”https://ew.com/how-blue-bloods-cast-pretended-to-eat-family-dinners-8730323″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Entertainment Weekly) ahead of the show’s series finale, the cast members discussed their tricks for navigating all those on-screen meals.

“We all have tricks. Bridget [Moynahan] is a food masher. She keeps her hand real active and combines her potatoes and everything. I butter rolls. I know everybody else has some tricks they might confess before it’s too late,” said Selleck, who played family patriarch Frank Reagan.

Unlike some of his co-stars, Wahlberg said he would actually eat while filming. But he was strategic about it.

“There’s a silly part of the eating and a real part of the eating, and the silly part is if I was going on tour the following summer, I ate only vegetables,” the NKOTB member confessed. “If I wasn’t, I ate whatever. And I did get high a few times off the whipped cream in the desserts. I got these sugar highs. But, in truth, I wanted to eat as the character because I thought it was as far as I could go to talking with my mouth full in that first dinner scene.”

“It’s like, throw an insult across the table without even looking up, take a bite of my food, and keep moving,” he added. “I just thought it was a way to be a bull in a china shop in a place where I can’t really do it.”
