On the mound: Starter Bradley Blaylock gave Colorado two efficient scoreless innings in its Cactus League opener. The right-hander struck out two and walked one. … Anthony Molina was not nearly as sharp, leaving the ball over the plate and Arizona took advantage, belting the right-hander for three runs on four hits over one inning.

At the plate: Center fielder Brenton Doyle, who’ll be the Rockies’ leadoff hitter this season, got off to a nice start, hitting a first-pitch fastball from right-hander Gerardo Gutierrez for a grand slam in the fourth inning. … Outfielder Benny Montgomery, looking to gain attention in camp, drew a walk with a good at-bat in the eighth and hit a three-run double off the right-field wall in Colorado’s six-run ninth inning. … Sean Bouchard got the start as the designated hitter and delivered two singles.

Prospect watch: Second base prospect Adael Amador, who had a brief stint with the big-league club last season, started Friday’s game and went 1 for 3 with an RBI.
