Hayward soccer player Alan Macias is the Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week for Feb. 10-15.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Macias finished with 43.35% of the votes. Andrew Hill basketball player Ernesto Ochoa took second with 40.82%.

The junior midfielder banged in both goals of the Farmers’ 2-0 victory over crosstown opponent Mt. Eden. It was his first multi-goal game of the season, according to stats kept by MaxPreps.
