<p id=”par-1_31″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/angelina-jolie/”>Angelina Jolie’</a>s daughter Shiloh has <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/shiloh-jolie-pitt-through-years-brad-pitt-angelina-jolie-2nd-oldest-daughter.html/”>grown a lot through the years</a>. And although she’s very much become her own person, Shiloh reminded Jolie too much of herself in her younger years.</p>

<p id=”par-2_73″>Jolie had Shiloh after she was <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/angelina-jolie-didnt-want-biological-kids-brad-pitt-convinced-wouldnt-threat.html/”>convinced to have biological kids</a> by her ex-husband Brad Pitt. The Oscar-winner described giving birth to Shiloh as a very peaceful and pleasant experience. Like Jolie’s other kids, Shiloh brought her own unique traits to the household. In a resurfaced interview with <em>MSN </em>(via <a href=”https://people.com/parents/angelina-jolie-15/”>People</a>), Jolie touched on each of her kids’ personalities. In doing so, she recognized that Shiloh might end up the most like her.</p>
<p id=”par-3_38″>“Shi’s so full of light and love, she’s just a little honey, and very, very funny. I think I’m recognizing some of myself in that one — she’s going to be a little bit of trouble,” she said.</p>
<p id=”par-4_85″>According to Jolie, Shiloh further showed how much she was like her mother when she started dressing like a boy. In a 2010 interview with <a href=”https://www.today.com/news/angelina-jolie-says-shiloh-wants-be-boy-wbna37975650″>Today</a>, Jolie said Shiloh was “like a little dude. Shiloh, we feel, has Montenegro style. It’s how people dress there. She likes tracksuits, she likes [regular] suits. She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_14″>It reminded Jolie of her own fascination with performance when she was a kid.</p>
<p id=”par-6_35″>“Shiloh’s hysterically funny, one of the goofiest, most playful people you’ll ever meet,” she said. “Goofy and verbal, the early signs of a performer. I used to get dressed up in costumes and jump around.”</p>

<p id=”par-7_93″>Although Shiloh may have been born with her mother’s knack for performance, it doesn’t seem like she’ll be following Jolie’s footsteps as an actor. So far, Vivienne is the only one of her kids who’s acted on-screen <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/angelina-jolie-shared-exhausting-acting-coach-daughter.html/”>when Jolie coached her in <em>Maleficent</em></a>. Nowadays, however, none of her six children seem likely to be actors at this point. This might’ve relieved Jolie to an extent, since she confided in the past that she hoped <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/angelina-jolie-shared-didnt-want-kids-actors.html/”>her kids didn’t become actors</a>. However, she shared she had no influence on their decision to avoid the spotlight.</p>
<p id=”par-8_49″>“No. I don’t know, that’s not my doing,” Jolie said according to <a href=”https://people.com/angelina-jolie-says-none-of-her-kids-are-dying-to-be-in-movies-8786865″>People</a>. “I always wanted them to be around film because I wanted them to know as a part of — it’s such a wonderful family, to be creative, to be an artist, to be… They’re not interested.”</p>

<p id=”par-9_60″>Jolie always felt that parents should allow their kids to be themselves and follow their own paths. So, it seems she’s stuck to this principle when it comes to Shiloh and her siblings deciding what to do with their futures. It was why Jolie refused to interfere with Shiloh’s fashion sense back when she wore boy’s clothes more than girl’s.</p>
<p id=”par-10_53″>“Children should be allowed to express themselves in whatever way they wish without anybody judging them because it is an important part of their growth,” she once told <a href=”https://www.reuters.com/article/lifestyle/angelina-jolie-defends-daughter-shilohs-style-idUSTRE66A1XJ/”>Reuters</a>. “Society always has something to learn when it comes to the way we judge each other, label each other. We have far to go.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_37″>Jolie believed that celebrity culture might’ve discouraged her children from pursuing acting careers since that would’ve only encouraged a lifestyle they’d known their whole lives. Jolie singled out Shiloh as someone who really didn’t like the attention.</p>
