This prompted more questions than answers, as fans wanted to know why the network made such a bold move. <p id=”par-2_46″>Fans of<em> The Bachelorette </em>will have to wait until at least 2026 to see if the show returns. ABC is putting the show on pause for 2025, marking the first time <em>The Bachelorette</em> has been on hiatus since 2007. The show typically airs in July. </p>
<p id=”par-3_33″>The show’s progressively lower ratings through the seasons likely contributed to ABC’s decision. A source spoke to <a href=”https://www.the-sun.com/tv/13516647/bachelorette-pause-reason-revealed-hiatus-ratings-producers/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The U.S. Sun</a> about the network giving “clear indicators” that something is amiss with the program.</p>
<p id=”par-4_78″>“The show not coming back is a big blow for the network,” the source noted. “It’s a pretty clear indicator things are not where the network wants them to be — they haven’t done this since 2007, and that time was not for the same reasons. The truth is, the last season of <em>The Bachelorette</em> had a disappointing decline in ratings. It hit a low amongst the 18-49 demographic, which is what everyone at the network focuses on most.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_43″>The insider added that ratings were not the “sole” cause of the pause. They alleged that “lack of overall interest in the recent casts” also factored into the decision. Also, the show failed to produce a classic “love story” in several recent seasons.</p>
<p id=”par-6_29″>“There’s also been a string of failed engagements, and at the end of the day, the show really does want to produce a love story,” the source explained. </p>
<p id=”par-7_15″>Despite the pause, producers allegedly “absolutely” want to see <em>The Bachelorette</em> return in the future.</p>

Neither Rachel nor Gabby are still with the men they chose on <em>The Bachelorette</em>. <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/rachel-recchia-holds-embarrassing-record-shortest-relationship-the-bachelorette-history.html/”>Tino Franco notably cheated on Rachel</a>, ending their relationship once the cameras turned off. </p>
<p id=”par-9_22″>Rachel remains critical of ABC’s dating franchise. And she recently talked about her surprise to find out the network paused <em>The Bachelorette</em>.</p>

Again, rumors.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_32″>Rachel added that she only found out about <em>The Bachelorette</em> pause on Instagram. “Normally, I feel like we hear stuff on the inside,” she continued. “I didn’t hear anything [about the pause].”</p>

<p id=”par-12_65″><em>The Bachelorette</em> and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/the-bachelorette-devin-shares-private-texts-jenn-breakup.html/”>ABC failed Jenn Tran</a>. Jenn was the first Asian lead of any <em>Bachelor</em> show and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jenn-tran-devin-strader-cheating-breakup.html/”>chose Devin Strader</a> at the end of the season. Unfortunately, she and Devin didn’t work out. It was later revealed that Devin had past convictions of burglarizing his ex-girlfriend’s home and criminally trespassing. He also reportedly dumped her via text and never appeared serious about the engagement.</p>
<p id=”par-13_35″>During the After the Final Rose special, Jenn and Devin came face to face. Jenn watched the proposal back while on stage. She admitted to considering running off stage during the devastating and humiliating moment.</p>
<p id=”par-14_87″>“I was like, I don’t know if I am completely comfortable being this emotional in front of so many people,” she told Glamour regarding running away, according to <a href=”https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/bachelorette-finale-backlash-jenn-tran-210316278.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Yahoo</a>. “I think I struggled with, ‘Do I just run offstage, or is that going to make a bigger scene?; But once the waterworks started, I was like, ‘Oh, this is going to be dramatic if I just run away, so maybe I just sit here?’ I was just struggling with myself and what to do in that moment.”</p>
<p id=”par-15_13″>Jenn’s season was the last to air before ABC paused the series. </p>
