Firefighters battle extra-alarm blaze in Portage Park

Firefighters are fighting a blaze early Monday at a Portage Park home on the Northwest Side.

Sometime before 5:30 a.m., firefighters responded to the 2-11 fire in the 5900 block of West Waveland Avenue, Chicago Fire Department officials said in a post on X, formally known as Twitter.

It wasn’t immediately known if there was anybody injured.
