<p id=”par-2_41″>Kanye West took to X to share his support for Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently in jail. Combs was charged in September 2024 with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution. </p>

It was written in all caps, tagged Trump, and read, “PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF.” In another message, West used expletives as he called out other celebrities for not standing up for Combs. </p>
<p id=”par-4_31″><a href=”https://www.vibe.com/news/entertainment/ye-defends-idol-diddy-in-x-rant-free-puff-1234992324/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Vibe</a> reported West wrote, “WE ALL WATCHED THEM TRY TO CANCEL CHRIS BROWN AND AINT NOBODY DO NOTHING. I WAS P*** THEN TOO. CHRIS BROWN ITS UNTIL THE WHEELS FALL OFF.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_38″>The media mogul referred to Chris Brown’s multiple legal issues, which included allegations of physical abuse toward then-girlfriend Rihanna. Accusations of felony assault in 2013, and jail time in 2014, were among some of Brown’s other legal issues.</p>

<p id=”par-6_51″>Within the early morning series of over a dozen messages, Kanye West announced <a href=”https://archive.is/o/c51ay/https://x.com/kanyewest/status/1887721248278650914″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>a collaboration</a> between Yeezy and Sean Combs’ fashion label, Sean John. In the message, West wrote, “I’m selling the Sean John collaboration that me and my brother spoke about before they locked him up we splitting the profits 50/50.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_54″>The Daily Beast reported that West addressed his past issues with Combs. However, he believes that people are trying to use Combs to “scare” him, writing, “IM NEITHER SCARED NOR BRAVE THIS JUST ME.” West added, “I STOOD UP FOR PUFF AND I’M STILL WINNING 20 GRAMMIES NEXT YEAR AND DOING THE SUPERBOWL.” </p>

<p id=”par-8_27″>For years, Kanye West and Sean “Diddy” Combs mutually admired one another. The two moguls conquered the worlds of music, entertainment, and fashion at the same time.</p>
<p id=”par-9_25″>In 2022, West shared his thoughts about Combs during the presentation of his Lifetime Achievement Award during the 2022 BETs. <a href=”https://variety.com/2022/music/news/kanye-west-diddy-bet-awards-read-full-transcript-speech-1235303860/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Variety</a> shared his full statement.</p>
<p id=”par-10_55″>“[He] understood contracts in a way a lot of us still don’t. Understood money in a way a lot of us still don’t. I go to him for advice to this day. He inspired so many of my choices. So many of my life choices. My wife choices<em>.</em> And here we are. Thanks for that, Puff.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_52″>West added, ” Any of us in this room if Puff ever needs us, we need to jump and be there. This man has been through and survived a lot of stuff. Broke down a lot of doors so we could be standing. I know for me, that I could be here today.”</p>
<p id=”par-12_33″>Combs pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges level against him on Tuesday, Sept. 17, in federal court in Manhattan. U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian ruled his trial will begin on May 5, 2025.</p>
