<p id=”par-1_62″>In recent years, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/kanye-west/?swcfpc=1″>Kanye West</a> has aired some of his grievances with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/jay-z/?swcfpc=1″>Jay-Z</a> and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/beyonce/?swcfpc=1″>Beyoncé</a>. He ranted about the couple in a handful of concerts and expressed hurt that they didn’t attend his wedding. During a 2022 interview, West shared his thoughts on the famous couple’s relationship. He believed things would be better for them if Beyoncé allowed her husband to cheat.</p>

<p id=”par-2_40″>In 2022, West appeared on conservative commentator Candace Owens’ podcast <em>Candace.</em> On it, he discussed Jay-Z and Beyoncé. He’d known the couple for years, after West produced a track for a <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/roc-a-fella-co-founder-dame-dash-never-expected-kanye-west-rise-fame.html/”>Roc-a-Fella Records artist</a>. West believed Beyoncé should allow infidelity.</p>
<p id=”par-3_13″>“Beyoncé needs to let [Jay-Z] go get some p****,” West said, per <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.nme.com/news/music/kanye-west-says-beyonce-should-let-jay-z-cheat-in-newly-released-interview-clip-3782089″ rel=”noreferrer noopener”>NME</a>.</p>

<p id=”par-6_24″>Notably, Jay-Z has cheated on Beyoncé. His infidelity was the subject of her 2016 album <em>Lemonade</em>. He said the album was therapeutic for her.</p>
<p id=”par-7_91″>“It happened — we were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together,” Jay-Z told <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/11/29/t-magazine/jay-z-dean-baquet-interview.html?_r=0″ rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The New York Times Style Magazine</a>. “And then the music she was making at that time was further along. So her album came out as opposed to the joint album that we were working on. Um, we still have a lot of that music. And this is what it became. There was never a point where it was like, ‘I’m making this album.’ I was right there the entire time.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_25″>He admitted it <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jay-z-admitted-listening-lemonade-uncomfortable.html/”>wasn’t easy for him to listen</a> to <em>Lemonade.</em> He was glad they found a way to work through their marital problems, though.</p>
<p id=”par-9_97″>“[I]t was uncomfortable. And we had a lot of conversations,” he said. “You know. [I was] really proud of the music she made, and she was really proud of the art I released. And, you know, at the end of the day we really have a healthy respect for one another’s craft. I think she’s amazing. You know, most people walk away, and like divorce rate is like 50 percent or something ’cause most people can’t see themselves. The hardest thing is seeing pain on someone’s face that you caused, and then have to deal with yourself.”</p>

He’s talked about me 100 times. He made a song called ‘Big Brother.’ We’ve gotten past bigger issues. But you brought my family into it. Now it’s a problem with me. That’s a real, real problem.
