The San Jose Earthquakes and Bay FC will be playing at Coachella – on the pitch, that is – in pre-season action at the Coachella Valley Invitational in Indio starting Wednesday, Feb. 5.
The Earthquakes and Bay FC join 13 other Major League Soccer clubs and six clubs from the National Women’s Soccer League at the Empire Polo Club for early scrimmages.
The Quakes are feeling a new sense of optimism after hiring the all-time winningest MLS coach, Bruce Arena, and adding star strikers Josef Martinez and Chicho Arango.
And Bay FC is coming off a huge inaugural season making the playoffs in their first year.
