Firefighters control two-alarm blaze at Oakland warehouses

OAKLAND — Firefighters controlled a two-alarm fire that broke out at two vacant warehouses early Monday, officials said.

The buildings are located at 109th Avenue and Russet Street, and fire officials said nobody was injured when they went ablaze. The fire broke out about 5:45 a.m., and crews had it under control at 6:55 a.m., according to officials.

The blaze went to a second alarm, because of the size of it and because there were other structures in the area.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
