A man died early Saturday morning after crashing his car into a road median near interstates 70 and 225, according to Aurora police.
Officers responded to the scene at about 2:15 a.m. and observed the car had flipped over. The driver died at the scene and will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office, police said in a social media post.
Police spokesperson Sydney Edwards said Saturday morning that it was too early to say whether excessive speed, drugs or alcohol factored into the crash.
The eastbound I-70 offramp and southbound I-225 were closed for roughly six hours, and police announced the roadways were back open at 8:04 a.m.
