Early in the year, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/kate-middleton-hospitalized-kensington-palace-shares-few-details-about-planned-abdominal-surgery.html/”>Kate underwent abdominal surgery</a>, and she disappeared from the spotlight to recover. The Princess of Wales later revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Kate took most of the year away from the spotlight, and she announced in late summer that she was cancer free.</p>
<p id=”par-2_44″>Around the same time, King Charles was also diagnosed with cancer, resulting in a year of unexpected hardship for the royals. Now, though, things are looking up, and William and Kate were able to sneak away on a much-needed family vacation shortly after Christmas.</p>

In fact, a ski trip is also the same place where William and Kate’s <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/very-first-photo-ever-taken-prince-william-kate-middleton-together-finally-wills-gets-a-girl.html/”>relationship was made public</a> back in 2004.</p>
<p id=”par-4_43″>The Prince and Princess of Wales visited the Alps with members of Kate’s family, according to <a href=”https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14300571/Princess-Kates-scenic-ski-getaway-Alps.html”>Mail on Sunday</a>. And one staffer spoke about the family and said that they appeared to be a “normal” family just trying to enjoy a little downtime.</p>
<p id=”par-5_59″>“It was lovely to see Kate relaxing and enjoying herself,” the source said. “They looked like a normal English family, and a lot of people didn’t recognize them. It was not the first time we had seen them. They have been coming here for years. I think they love the area. We often see Kate’s sister Pippa as well.”</p>

I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”</p>
