<p id=”par-1_87″>The 2025 <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/oscars/?swcfpc=1″>Oscar</a> nominations are here. The Academy of Motional Picture Arts and Sciences announced the contenders for this year’s Oscars on Jan. 23. As usual, there were some snubs (no love for <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/angelina-jolies-revealed-latest-movie-maria-changed.html/”>Angelina Jolie in <em>Maria</em></a> or Nicole Kidman in <em>Babygirl</em>) and a few surprises (Sebastian Stan’s Best Actor nod for playing Donald Trump in <em>The Apprentice.</em>) Musical drama <em>Emilia Pérez </em>led the field with 13 nominations, followed by <em>Wicked </em>and <em>The Brutalist </em>with 10 nods each, and <em>Conclave </em>and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/bob-dylan-insisted-including-totally-inaccurate-scene-a-complete-unknown.html/”><em>A Complete Unknown</em></a><em> </em>with eight. </p>
<p id=”par-2_50″>This year’s Oscars ceremony will air live on ABC on March 2. That gives you a little more than a month to get caught up on all the big nominees. Here’s where – and when – to stream all 10 movies nominated for Best Picture at the 2025 Academy Awards. </p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-anora”>‘Anora’</h2>

<p id=”par-3_30″>Sean Baker follows up his acclaimed films <em>The Florida Project </em>and <em>Red Rocket </em>with <em>Anora, </em>which is about a sex worker’s relationship with the troubled son of a Russian oligarch. </p>
<p id=”par-4_21″><em>Anora </em>is playing in theaters. It’s also available to rent or buy on Prime Video, Apple TV, and other digital platforms.</p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-the-brutalist”>‘The Brutalist’</h2>
<p id=”par-5_30″>Adrien Brody – also nominated for Best Actor – plays a visionary Hungarian architect attempting to rebuild his life in America after fleeing post-WWII Europe in Brady Corbet’s historical epic. </p>
<p id=”par-6_39″><em>The Brutalist </em>is playing in theaters. It’s not yet available to stream, but it will likely be on digital platforms soon. Expect to see it on Max at some point thanks to production company A24’s deal with the streamer. </p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-a-complete-unknown”>‘A Complete Unknown’</h2>

<p id=”par-7_38″>Director James Mangold’s crowd-pleasing <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/timothee-chalamet-wept-shooting-1-crucial-scene-bob-dylan-biopic-a-complete-unknown.html/”>Bob Dylan biopic</a> <em>A Complete Unknown </em>also snagged multiple Oscar nods in addition to Best Picture, including for star Timothée Chalamet, Edward Norton (who plays Pete Seeger), and Monica Barbaro (who plays Joan Baez). </p>
<p id=”par-8_41″><em>A Complete Unknown </em>is playing in theaters. It’s not yet available to stream, but it will likely be on digital platforms soon. Expect to see it on Hulu sometime later this year thanks to distributors Searchlight Pictures’ deal with the streamer. </p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-conclave”>‘Conclave’</h2>
<p id=”par-9_27″><em>Conclave </em>is a political thriller set in the Vatican, where the College of Cardinals (led by Ralph Fiennes’ Cardinal Lawrence) has gathered to elect the new Pope. </p>

<p id=”par-11_39″>The second part of director Denis Villeneuve’s sprawling space opera, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/zendaya-wears-scandalous-dress-dune-part-two-fan-event.html/”><em>Dune: Part Two</em></a><em> </em>continues the story of Paul Atreides (Chalamet) as he seeks revenge on those who slaughtered his family while also fighting on behalf of the oppressed Fremen. </p>

<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-emilia-perez”>‘Emilia Pérez’</h2>
<p id=”par-13_59″>In <em>Emilia Pérez</em>, the ruthless leader of a Mexican drug cartel recruits a high-powered lawyer to help him escape his past by transitioning into a woman. In addition to a Best Picture nomination, the movie from French director Jacques Audiard made history when star Karla Sofía Gascón became the first openly transgender woman to be nominated for Best Actress.</p>
<p id=”par-14_6″><em>Emilia Pérez </em>is streaming on Netflix. </p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-i-m-still-here”>‘I’m Still Here’</h2>
<p id=”par-15_33″><em>I’m Still Here </em>stars Fernanda Torres (also nominated for Best Actress) as a Brazilian woman investigating her husband’s disappearance during a time of political unrest in this drama inspired by a true story. </p>
<p id=”par-16_25″><em>I’m Still Here </em>opened in limited release on Jan. 17 and will expand to theaters nationwide on Feb. 14. It’s not yet available to stream. </p>

<p id=”par-19_32″>Demi Moore pulled off an unexpected late-career renaissance for her role as a TV host willing to go to great lengths to reclaim her once-youthful appearance in body horror flick <em>The Substance. </em></p>

<p id=”par-21_23″>Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande lit up the screen in <em>Wicked, </em>the long-awaited film adaptation of the hit <em>Wizard of Oz-</em>inspired Broadway musical. </p>
