Four Northwest Side businesses were broken into and damaged early Thursday.
Three of the businesses — a jewelry store, restaurant and office — were in the 7000 block of West Higgins Road in Norwood Park and were burglarized between 1:40 a.m. and 1:55 a.m., Chicago police said.
In each incident, five males damaged the front door of the businesses before fleeing in a silver car, police said.
Nothing appeared to be taken.
Just over an hour later, around 3:10 a.m., the front door and windows of a fourth business in the 5800 block of West Irving Park Road were damaged, officials said.
A witness told police the damage was done by someone who fled in a black car, authorities said.
Area 5 detectives are investigating but no arrests have been made.
