<p id=”par-2_59″>These days, Angela is best known as a cast member on <em>90 Day Fiancé, </em>which chronicled her <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/90-day-fiance-star-michael-ilesanmi-blunt-response-asked-doesnt-post-photos-angela-deem.html/”>volatile relationship with Michael Ilesanmi</a>. But the TLC show wasn’t Angela’s first experience on television. Prior to becoming a reality TV personality, Angela appeared multiple times on daytime TV staple <em>Maury. </em>The episodes focused on the paternity of her daughter Scottie’s children.</p>
<p id=”par-3_51″><em>Maury </em>went off the air in 2022, but Angela recently returned to the talk show host’s set as part of a series where he chats with some of his most memorable guests. Angela, who described herself as the “queen of reality,” said she had Maury to thank for her TV career. </p>
<p id=”par-4_50″>“It did something,” she said of <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/90-day-fiance-angela-deem-has-starred-on-maury-with-her-daughter-twice.html/”>her appearances on <em>Maury</em></a><em> </em>in a video shared on <a href=”https://youtu.be/GpHfZlAcwFM?feature=shared” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>YouTube</a>. “It’s all because of you. This is where I started, your show. I’ve been with you four times, I’ve been on your show. And it opened doors for me that would have never opened.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_27″>“It not only opened other reality show doors to me,” she added. “It started me being able to travel places, being able to go to different countries.”</p>

<p id=”par-6_40″>During her conversation with Maury, Angela also opened up on her romantic life following her split from Michael. After years in a long-distance marriage, the couple split up shortly after he finally arrived in the United States in December 2023. </p>
<p id=”par-7_15″>“So, if this show is about love, how’s it going?” Maury asked the Georgia grandmother. </p>
<p id=”par-8_14″>“Oh, sh*t,” Angela replied, laughing. “Yeah, you know, I’m not good, but that’s OK.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_7″>“I think I intimidate [men],” she said. </p>
<p id=”par-10_15″>Maury wanted to know if Angela had any romantic advice for her fans. She did. </p>
<p id=”par-11_35″>“The most important thing I want to tell my queens is run. Run,” she said. “There’s no such damn thing nowadays as romance … nowadays, you get a little wrinkle, they get a younger woman.”</p>
<p id=”par-12_96″>Angela’s comments seemed to be a dig at Michael’s rumored new girlfriend. The <em>90 Day </em>star has repeatedly slammed her ex on social media since their breakup. The pair are currently in the midst of a divorce battle. In June 2024, Angela requested that Georgia court <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/angela-deem-90-day-fiance-files-annulment-marriage-michael-ilesanmi.html/”>grant her an annulment</a> on the grounds of fraud. She claimed that Michael had tricked her into marriage with the goal of getting a green card and that he abandoned her shortly after he finally arrived in the U.S. Michael responded by requesting a divorce, alleging that Angela abused him. </p>
