A 42-year-old man was fatally shot Tuesday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
A Wednesday autopsy determined Johnie Maurice Veal died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.
He was found shot in the head and leg about 6:35 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of North Springfield Avenue, police said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounce dead at 7:23 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
No one was arrested and Area 4 detectives are investigating.
