Andersonville shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 critically hurt

A man was killed and another was critically wounded in a shooting Tuesday night in Andersonville on the North Side.

Around 9:15 p.m., officers found a 26-year-old man in the street with gunshot wounds to his shoulder and neck in the 5400 block of North Ashland Avenue, Chicago police said.

After the 26-year-old told officers his vehicle was in the alley they found a 21-year-old man inside it with a gunshot wound to his head, police said. The unidentified man was dead on the scene.

Paramedics treated the older man and took him in critical condition to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said.

Area 3 detectives are investigating and no arrests have been made.
