A man was found fatally shot behind the wheel of a bullet-riddled car Tuesday night in Gage Park on the Southwest Side.
Around 10:30 p.m., officers were called to a suspicious vehicle in the 5600 block of South California Avenue where they found another vehicle pierced by several bullet holes alongside it, police said.
Behind the wheel of the bullet-marred car officers found a man, about 40, with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, dead on the scene, Chicago police said.
No one was in custody and Area 1 detectives are investigating.
