<p id=”par-1_67″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/actors/”>Actor</a> Jessica Alba felt like she was going to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jessica-alba-knew-when-met-cash-warren-going-know-forever.html/”>know Cash Warren forever</a> from the moment they laid eyes on each other. While that may be the case, however, that didn’t mean Alba and Warren would be in a relationship forever. It was recently announced that the two went their separate ways after 16 years of marriage. But this wasn’t the first time the pair broke up.</p>

<p id=”par-2_76″>Things moved pretty quickly for Warren and Alba after they first met on the set of Alba’s <em>Fantastic Four </em>in 2004. <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jessica-alba-husband-cash-warren.html/”>Warren worked as a director’s assistant</a> at the time, and immediately fell for Alba when he had to take photos of her for the film. By 2007, they were expecting their first child. Even though Alba didn’t like <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jessica-alba-shared-didnt-like-idea-marriage.html/”>the idea of marriage</a> at one point, she eventually did marry Warren in 2008 according to <a href=”https://people.com/movies/jessica-alba-cash-warren-relationship-timeline/”>People</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-3_35″>But dating Alba wasn’t easy for Warren, who had a difficult time adjusting his girlfriend’s fame. So much so that it brought insecurities out of Warren that he might not have known were inside him.</p>
<p id=”par-4_74″>“When we first started dating I was really jealous of other guys and the attention she was getting from other guys. It just wasn’t making me feel good,” Warren said on the <em>Whine Down with Jana Kramer </em>podcast (via <a href=”https://www.femalefirst.co.uk/celebrity/jessica-alba-cash-warren-split-jealousy-1384271.html”>Female First</a>). “I was always a pretty confident person in my own [life], walking my own path and really happy there, and next thing you know I’m looking up and feeling jealous all the time.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_19″>This eventually led to Alba and Warren going their separate ways. But back then, their break-up was only temporary.</p>

<p id=”par-6_52″>“I was like, ‘I hate feeling like this. It doesn’t make me feel good, and I know it doesn’t make you feel good.’ And we broke up four years into our relationship. We broke up. It was the jealousy. I was turning into an a******, and so we broke up,” Warren said.</p>
<p id=”par-7_28″>After doing a bit of soul-searching, Warren found his way back to Alba. He was in a place mentally where he could support her and her career completely.</p>
<p id=”par-8_111″>“If anything, when we got together I was like, ‘Don’t make sacrifices. Pursue your passions, pursue your careers, don’t make sacrifices because you feel bad for leaving the kids for this week or that week’ Eventually they’ll grow up and they’ll forget the fact that you were gone for these three days or these five days,” he said. “I’ve tried to be a good teammate in that regard. I’m not interested in the spotlight. I’m not a star, I’m not a celeb, I’m not an actor, I’ve never tried to be an actor. I high-five her, let her do her thing, and I’ve gotten more comfortable with it over the years.”</p>

<p id=”par-9_91″>Alba and Warren may not have lasted forever, but it seems that they didn’t waste any of the years they spent together. They were married for a long 16 years and share three children together. Additionally, the pair did what they could to make their marriage work. In a blog Alba wrote that was obtained by <a href=”https://www.today.com/popculture/jessica-alba-dishes-marriage-after-two-kids-i448696″>Today</a>, she touched on how they sustained their romance. The <em>Sin City </em>star had just given birth to their first child Honor, and had to find new creative ways to make time for each other.</p>
<p id=”par-10_85″>“And maybe it’s because I’m 30 or maybe it’s because I’m a mom, but I don’t think romance is always about swinging from chandeliers (although it’s nice from time to time). It’s really about the small gestures too. Recently when filming a movie in Atlanta, Cash surprised me by having a beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered to the set. It was a simple, heartfelt surprise that let me know he was thinking of me during my time away from home. I loved it,” she wrote.</p>
<p id=”par-11_32″>A source told <a href=”https://people.com/jessica-alba-cash-warren-split-no-drama-source-exclusive-8771504″>People</a>, however, that they couldn’t maintain that passion for long, which ultimately led to their divorce. But the insider alleged that neither harbored any ill feelings towards the other.</p>
<p id=”par-12_33″><a></a>“No matter what’s going on right now, it seems they will remain close,” the source said. “If they’re filing for divorce, it’s not because of some hateful drama. They still look happy together.”</p>
