But Affleck hasn’t mentioned anything about the split to the media. Now, a source says the exes purposely kept the proceedings amicable to not “nickel and dime each other.”</p>

According to the settlement documents, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jennifer-lopez-will-keep-jewelry-ben-affleck-divorce-settlement-including-5-million-engagement-ring.html/”>Lopez and Affleck keep their clothing</a>, jewelry, and other personal belongings and plan to evenly <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/ben-affleck-jennifer-lopez-agree-split-profits-60-million-mansion-documents-state.html/”>split the profit from their Beverly Hills mansion</a>. Affleck keeps all the rights to his businesses, including his production company, Artists Equity, which he shares with Matt Damon.</p>

Family law attorney Andrew Zashin told <a href=”https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/12265726/ben-affleck-entitled-half-jlo-earnings-divorce/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The U.S. Sun</a> that because Lopez’s net worth is four times that of Affleck’s, “it could have been a costly choice for her to forego a prenup.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_84″>“Without a prenuptial agreement, which is a premarital agreement whereby the parties promise to divide (or keep) their assets in a certain way, all of the earnings earned during the marriage could be considered ‘marital property,’ or ‘community property,’ and each party would have a 50-50 stake in them,” Zashin explained. “Both Jennifer and Ben are high-net-worth individuals, meaning there are substantial assets (she is worth approximately $400 million and he is worth approximately $160 million) to be divided as they terminate their marriage.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_33″>Zashin recommends that high-net-worth individuals “consult with an attorney before they take action” to learn about the process and the laws involved. “Dividing marital assets can have financial and tax consequences,” he explained.</p>
