While <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sean-diddy-combs-trial-date-likely-pushed-may-2025.html/”>Combs awaits his trial in May 2025</a>, he might have the opportunity to get creative with some of the treats he received at the end of 2024. Here’s what a prison consultant said about making “fogo” from leftover jail goodies. </p>

<p id=”par-2_61″>Sean “Diddy” Combs spent his first Christmas behind bars in 2024. The media mogul previously spent his <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/inside-diddys-lonely-birthday-bars-fried-rice-psych-team-visits-limited-recreation.html/”>November birthday</a> and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sean-diddy-combs-thanksgiving-dinner-behind-bars-explained.html/”>Thanksgiving at the Metropolitan Detention Center</a>. While the jail doesn’t offer too much holiday cheer, federal prison consultant Sam Mangel told <a href=”https://www.themirror.com/entertainment/inside-p-diddys-christmas-gift-851054″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>the Mirror US</a> that the prison staff typically give the inmates a “gift bag” with extra goodies to celebrate. </p>
<p id=”par-3_71″>“In the gift bag, you typically will see popular items, extra items from the commissary that are free,” Mangel alleged, noting that issues with the prison’s budget can impact the gift bags’ contents. “It might be a thing of hot cocoa, it might be some popcorn, some cookies, candy, things like that. And what happens is all the inmates will put it together, and they might make things out of it.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_67″>Mangel noted that the inmates typically make a sweet concoction they call “fogo.” The consultant noted that “fogu” consists of “a combination of all kinds of junk food that’s rolled up and cut into almost like a pie. And it’s very sweet, heavy on sugar, but that’s what inmates like to do.” Inmates can also swap snacks with each other to customize what goes into their “fogo.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_57″>According to <a href=”https://people.com/diddy-will-have-cornish-hen-for-lunch-and-pb-and-j-sandwiches-again-for-christmas-dinner-in-jail-8763486″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a>, Combs and his fellow inmates didn’t have particularly special Christmas meals. The jail served everyone two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on whole wheat bread, potato chips, fruit, and a beverage. For Christmas Eve dinner, Combs was offered turkey roast or navy beans, baked sweet potato, mixed vegetables, and whole wheat bread with margarine.</p>

<p id=”par-6_60″>Sean “Diddy” Combs didn’t receive a high-end meal to celebrate the new year. According to <a href=”https://people.com/diddy-had-steak-on-a-hot-dog-bun-for-new-year-s-eve-dinner-8768901″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a>, the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn offered inmates hamburgers, tater tots, and fruit for lunch on New Year’s Day lunch starting at 11 a.m. For breakfast, inmates are offered fruit, cereal, breakfast cake, and skim milk. They can have coffee on Saturdays and Sundays. </p>
<p id=”par-7_37″>Combs’ New Year’s Day dinner included a chicken sandwich with pinto beans, rice, and corn. His New Year’s Eve dinner reportedly consisted of steak and cheese subs on hot dog buns, baked potatoes, green beans, and margarine.</p>
<p id=”par-8_32″>When Combs initially entered prison, there was concern that he might fear that other prisoners would poison his food. However, a former inmate told People that Combs is well-liked amongst the others.</p>
<p id=”par-9_13″>“He’s well-liked inside prison,” the inmate revealed. “People are getting along with him.”</p>

<p id=”par-11_24″>“If the guards take a liking to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sean-diddy-combs-paranoid-scared-eat-prison-former-inmate-says.html/”>Diddy, he will get extra food</a>, extra time out of his cell,” an inmate told <a href=”https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/inside-diddys-new-life-behind-bars-pure-hell-horrible-jail-excl/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Us Weekly</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-12_20″>“He’s rich … so they might not treat him so bad [as a] form of extortion,” inmate Blair G. added.</p>
<p id=”par-13_28″>However, Combs’ fame and fortune in the outside world don’t necessarily translate to life behind bars. Another former inmate told the publication that Combs might experience setbacks. </p>
<p id=”par-14_27″>“People on the outside would view you as a 10, but you automatically become a 5 in prison,” the inmate said. “It is a whole other world.”</p>
