SANTA CRUZ —The Santa Cruz County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has identified the Los Gatos motorcyclist killed in a Dec. 18 crash on Soquel San Jose Road.
Craig Smith, 68, was traveling southbound around 9:40 a.m. when the BMW motorcycle he was driving hit the asphalt and slid into an oncoming Subaru Forester.
Despite lifesaving efforts, Smith was declared dead at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol continued to investigate the crash Monday and had no additional details to share related to cause, according to Officer Israel Murillo.
