Bears-Seahawks inactives report: DL Gervon Dexter returns from knee injury

The Bears got their starting defensive tackle back Thursday night — Gervon Dexter Sr., who missed the last two games with a knee injury, is active and will play against the Seahawks at Soldier Field.

The Bears will play without two starting offensive linemen — Braxton Jones suffered a season-ending broken ankle Sunday and guard Teven Jenkins hurt his calf. The Bears ruled both out this week. Larry Borom and Jake Curhan filled in at the two spots, respectively.

The team ruled out three other players Wednesday: safety Elijah Hicks (ankle/foot), running back Travis Homer (hamstring) and safety Tarvarius Moore (knee). Backup center/guard Doug Kramer is active after missing Sunday’s game with a knee injury. Thursday, the Bears added defensive tackle Zacch Pickens and linebacker Noah Sewell as healthy scratches. Pickens played 29 snaps Sunday.

Earlier Thursday, the Seahawks put running back Kenneth Walker III on injured reserve because of an ankle injury They’d already ruled him out for the game. He’ll be replaced by Zach Charbonnet, who has filled in the past few weeks.

Latest on the Bears
At 4-11, the Bears are in danger of finishing with the fourth-worst record in franchise history.
The Bears already are in trouble on the offensive line because of left tackle Braxton Jones’ season-ending ankle injury.
There’s no other way to interpret their incompetence in the first quarter.
