The couple tied the knot in 2005 — a year after Affleck’s failed engagement to Jennifer Lopez — and they remained together until 2015. Garner and Affleck finalized their divorce in 2018 and vowed to remain friendly for the good of their kids. Now, the exes spend time together and had Thanksgiving 2024 as a family with their three children: Violet, 19, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12. </p>
<p id=”par-3_32″>A source told <a href=”https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/j-lo-blaming-jennifer-garner-for-ben-affleck-holiday-drama-excl/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>In Touch Weekly</a> that Affleck feels “pulled in opposite directions” with Lopez and Garner, as Lopez allegedly wants to spend the holidays with Affleck and their blended family. </p>
<p id=”par-4_62″>“On one hand, J.Lo is telling him he should be spending more time with her because the blended family situation is so new, and it’s vital that they all get off to a good start following the divorce and just establish a pattern,” an insider alleged. “And then he has Jen pushing him to spend time with her and their kids together.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_52″>Affleck “completely acknowledges that their kids are very close,” the source added, but that “doesn’t necessarily mean spending holidays together.” The insider noted that Affleck feels much more comfortable around Garner and would rather spend Christmas with her. Additional sources claim Affleck and Garner already made holiday plans after their joyous Thanksgiving.</p>

Photos from the summer of 2024 showed Lopez and Affleck’s daughter spending ample time together in the Hamptons. More recently, photos showed <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/ben-affleck-jennifer-garner-confused-daughter-violet-wants-keep-jennifer-lopez-close-source-says.html/”>Violet hanging out with Lopez’s sister</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-8_36″>“Violet has a strong attachment to J.Lo and her family,” another insider told <a href=”https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-14043723/ben-affleck-jennifer-garner-violet-lopez-sister-lynda-confused.html” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>DailyMail.com</a>. “It’s quite confusing to Ben and Jen [Garner] because they do not understand why Violet is so adamant on keeping her close.”</p>

<p id=”par-11_41″>“When things started getting rocky between Ben and Jennifer [Lopez], Jen was very supportive of their relationship and encouraged Ben to work on their marriage,” the source alleged. Garner “had even become friendly with Jennifer, and they were communicating on a regular basis.”</p>
