<p id=”par-3_40″>“I’d love to have what Jay and Beyoncé have,” he told the Daily Mirror (via <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.express.co.uk/celebrity-news/225820/Combs-keen-to-emulate-Jay-Z-Beyonce-marriage” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Express</a>). “My ideal woman has to have intellect and soul. I don’t woo them with flowers, I need to know they like me for real.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_38″>Combs had a longtime relationship with Kim Porter. The couple broke up in the late 1990s because of his infidelity, but they reunited after several years apart. He admitted he had been selfish when he cheated on her.</p>

<p id=”par-6_44″>While Combs claimed he was fully committed to Porter (they ultimately broke up again because of his infidelity), he said he was not ready for marriage. According to him, he wanted to wait to become a better boyfriend before he took the next step.</p>
<p id=”par-7_47″>“I know she deserves to get married but I’m just not ready,” he said. “It’s not a reflection on how much I love Kim. It’s that I’m just learning how to be a good boyfriend. When I’m finished with this step, I’ll move on to the next.”</p>
