Oakland Tech basketball player Jhai Johnson is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Dec. 2-7.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Johnson finished with 46.17% of the vote. Willow Glen basketball’s Natalia Valerio took second with 26.34% of votes cast.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Johnson, a junior, scored 28 points and added eight rebounds in a win over North Community High School in Minnesota.
