Chicago police bomb squad called to remove ‘suspicious object’ in Humboldt Park

The Chicago Police Department’s bomb squad was called to remove a suspicious object Tuesday afternoon in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.

The bomb squad was called about a “suspicious object” inside a bag near a restaurant in the 4000 block of West Grand Avenue about 4:20 p.m., police said.

The object was removed, and no injuries were reported, police said.

Police would not say what the object was.
