The Marin County coroner’s office has concluded its investigation into the death of a bicyclist in Fairfax, saying there is no evidence another vehicle was involved.
Douglas Keith Martin, 60, was found unconscious next to his electric bike on July 1 on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard on the western side of town. Medics took him to MarinHealth Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Fairfax police and the coroner’s office investigated the death. The coroner’s office recently finished its inquiry and ruled the death accidental, said Chief Deputy Coroner Roger Fielding.
Fielding said the cause of death was blunt impact injuries to the upper body with “contributing conditions” of acute alcohol intoxication and hypertension. Fielding said it appears Martin lost control of the bike.
Martin was a resident of Forest Knolls.
