A man was killed Wednesday when he was run over by multiple vehicles on Interstate 25 after a crash, according to Colorado State Patrol.
The incident happened around 10:35 a.m. on the northbound lanes of the interstate between Monument and W. Baptist Road, north of Colorado Springs, according to Colorado State Patrol.
The man who was killed was involved in a two-vehicle crash between a Jeep and a Subaru at that location. After the crash, he and the other driver pulled over to the side of the interstate in order to exchange information.

But while they were parked there, a pickup truck driver sped into the stopped vehicles, according to the state patrol. The force of that collision threw the victim into the interstate, and multiple cars ran him over, Trooper Sherri Mendez said.
The man died at the scene. His identity has not been made public.
The pickup driver and one of the drivers who ran over the man stayed at the crash scene, Mendez said. Other drivers who may have been involved did not stop, she said.
The northbound lanes of the interstate and all but one of the southbound lanes were closed after the crashes until 2 p.m. The highway then reopened.
