20 Disneyland turkey legs on Thanksgiving menu at Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s feast

Supermodel Chrissy Teigen and Grammy Award winner John Legend plan to serve a Disneyland food cart classic during their Thanksgiving feast that will take the place of the big roasted turkey that’s usually the centerpiece of the holiday family meal.

Teigen and Legend plan to order 20 turkey legs from Disneyland to serve during Thanksgiving dinner this year at their place, according to Travel & Leisure.

“We are getting 20 smoked turkey legs from Disneyland,” Teigen told Travel & Leisure. “Anyone that’s had those before knows that they taste like ham. They’re crazy to me. Turkey does not get better than that.”

Teigen, Legend and their four kids love to eat turkey legs whenever they’re at Disneyland.

“That’s one of my favorite moments always,” Teigen told Travel & Leisure. “So, that’s my cheat for turkey this year.”

Thanksgiving is Teigen’s favorite day of the year.

“We actually have a quarterly Thanksgiving because I love it so much,” Teigen told Travel & Leisure.

The three-time cookbook author loves whipping up “fun and easy meals” during the holidays.

“You prep so much and it can be so overwhelming,” Teigen told Travel & Leisure. “So you want to create things that are really delicious and simple, so you don’t become faint.”

Teigen’s favorite Thanksgiving side dishes include green bean casserole, collard greens, scalloped potatoes, cheese dip, stuffing and a charcuterie board.

Disneyland turkey legs aren’t Teigen’s only Thanksgiving “cheat.” She also uses Popeyes or KFC gravy instead of making her own when she needs a good workaround.

“I’ve learned through so many years of being stressed out about Thanksgiving or the holidays that if you love the flavor of something, and you really can’t do it better than the one you love or the one you grew up on, just bring it in,” Teigen told Travel & Leisure. “The holidays are so much about family and not running around the kitchen, so I like to keep things as fun and simple as possible.”

Disneyland’s $13 jumbo smoked turkey legs are served at Edelweiss Snacks (Fantasyland), Ship to Shore Marketplace (Frontierland), Plaza Hub (Main Street USA) and Poultry Palace (Pixar Pier).

There’s no word yet on how Teigen will place her $260 Disneyland turkey leg order or who will make the delivery.

“Celebrities … they’re just like us, right?” MousePlanet wrote in response to the Travel & Leisure story.
