PITTSBURG – A 50-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash last week in Pittsburg, according to authorities.

Gilroy man dies after crashing pickup truck into tree

The crash was reported around 9:15 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Willow Pass Road, the Pittsburg Police Department said in a news release. Officers arrived to find a man – identified by authorities as Joaquin Revuelta – lying in the roadway unresponsive.

Revuelta was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The crash was captured by a camera in the area, police said, adding that “officers are currently investigating several leads to determine both the responsible vehicle and driver.”

Authorities did not announce any arrests Monday night or release a description of the suspect.
