CONCORD — A bicyclist died Sunday night while on a Bay Area highway, the California Highway Patrol said.

Few details were available early Monday, but the CHP confirmed that they were investigating a fatal incident involving a bicyclist on eastbound state Highway 242 near the Oliveira Road exit. The first reports of the incident came at 8:50 p.m.
Initial reports indicated that a GMC Yukon SUV also was involved in the collision.
