<p id=”par-1_39″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/sean-diddy-combs/?swcfpc=1″>Sean “Diddy” Combs</a> admitted that it was a challenge to be his girlfriend. In an interview, he explained that he lied and cheated in many <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/celebrity-relationships/?swcfpc=1″>relationships</a>. He said that there was one girlfriend with whom he was mostly monogamous.</p>

<p id=”par-2_35″>Combs’ relationship with Porter ended when he began to pursue Jennifer Lopez. Porter took him back after his relationship with Lopez ended, and he bristled against the fact that she wanted him to be monogamous. </p>
<p id=”par-3_38″>“Do you really think that God meant for a man to have just one wife?” he asked Porter in an interview with <a href=”https://www.essence.com/news/no-ordinary-love-sean-diddy-combs-and-ki/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Essence</a>. “Or a woman to have one husband? Do you think God <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sean-diddy-combs-asked-kim-porter-thought-god-meant-men-just-have-1-wife.html/”>meant it that way</a>?”</p>
<p id=”par-4_9″>Porter pointed out the double standard in Combs’ question.</p>
<p id=”par-5_18″>“Do you really want me having sex with some other man?” she asked. “You want that to happen?”</p>
<p id=”par-6_8″>“No, but God made us different,” he responded. </p>

<p id=”par-7_27″>Porter described this as a “cop-out” and noted that she chose not to cheat. Combs could choose to do the same, but he hadn’t in the past.</p>
<p id=”par-8_23″>“Sometimes things happen,” he said. “This is the most monogamous I’ve ever been in my life … that’s all I’m trying to say.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_19″>Not long after the interview, their relationship ended because of his infidelity. He had a child with another woman.</p>

<p id=”par-10_28″>Combs claimed he was a good boyfriend most of the time. There was a portion of his time in a relationship that he spent <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sean-p-diddy-combs-said-cheats-lies-25-time-romantic-relationships.html/”>cheating and lying</a>, though.</p>
<p id=”par-11_133″>“I’ve broken this down: What I can deliver out of a pie is, I can promise you that if I’m in a relationship with you, 25% of your time, you’re going to just feel like, ‘Oh, man, I hate being here. Oh, man, this guy, he cheated on me, he lied on me.’ That’s 25%, you know what I’m saying?” Combs said in an interview with <a target=”_blank” href=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JsT6vry5VA” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>DJ Akademiks</a>. “But then there’s 75% of, I’m [going to] make you the happiest woman in the whole wide world. I’m going to be here to support your dreams; I’m going to be there to hold you, listen to you; I’m going to be there to be your best friend. And I promise you’ll smile the most. You know who I am; this is what it is.”</p>
<p id=”par-12_9″>He didn’t see himself as a perfect partner, though.</p>
<p id=”par-13_8″>“I’m bringing 25% of some bulls***,” he added.</p>

<p id=”par-14_29″>After Combs and Porter reunited, people began to ask them if they planned to marry. They had three children together. Combs said he <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/sean-diddy-combs-shared-feel-ready-marry-kim-porter.html/”>wasn’t quite ready</a> for that step.</p>
<p id=”par-15_47″>“I know she deserves to get married, but I’m just not ready,” he said. “It’s not a reflection on how much I love Kim. It’s that I’m just learning how to be a good boyfriend. When I’m finished with this step, I’ll move on to the next.” </p>

<p id=”par-17_31″>“You should end the piece like that, with me talking about getting married,” Combs told the reporter. “It’ll give hope to all the girls who fell in love with a player.” </p>

<p id=”par-19_6″>“Ex-player,” he added. “Make that ex-player.”</p>
